I have been in the real estate business for the past 20 years. I've gained a lot of knowledge of the investment market through owning two real estate investment companies myself. I have been helping first-time and repeat home buyers’ open doors to new homes using my expertise in the local market. My success is driven by the smiles I see at closing and by knowing I've educated my clients on all facets of the deal. I have a multitude of lending products that fit the variety of clients I serve. Being with a bank instead of a standard mortgage company, I am able to use our portfolio products as well as the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, and HUD loans. In addition to these loans, we also have one of the best construction products out there for our clients interested in building their dream homes. I started in Mortgage Lending decades ago, in part, because my parents were in the Real Estate and Mortgage business. I work with my husband Steve, and together we work to find the best solution for our clients goals. Even before the pandemic, we found that very few of our clients met with us in an office. We typically chat via phone or Zoom. We are not an Internet company, we are 40 year mortgage veterans who have known Nannette for over a decade! We are licensed in NC and Virginia.
We work after hours and on weekends, and talking with clients is normally a conversation that starts with “What are you trying to do.” That might sound kind of silly – folks are generally contacting us because they want to buy a piece of property for one reason or the other. Hello, my name is Matt Lake and I live in Canton, GA, which is about 45 minutes north of Atlanta. I started in the mortgage business in 2000 and have closed thousands of loans over the last 2 decades. Hey, my name is Chris Garcia and I have been in the mortgage industry for three years. Through my time, I'd have to say that my favorite part of the job is getting to assist homebuyers as well as getting to know them over the course of their journey. I started my career as a professional wrestler in Dallas before moving into radio as a nationally syndicated talk show host covering sports and pop culture. It was during my time hosting a mortgage radio segment that I was offered an opportunity to enter the mortgage business—and I took the leap.

I also volunteer as a mobile DJ, a graphic artist, follow just about every sport imaginable, and consider myself a BBQ enthusiast who is still very much in training!
And yes, I’m a serious Star Wars collector.
Most importantly, I’m a family man. My wife and I have three amazing kids. One is a Doctor, another is a Percussion Director, and the third is a volleyball coach! We also share our home with four lovable rescue pups: Kona, Kahlua, Athena, and Zeus
